Crystal Palace Appoint Pierre Sage as New Manager in Major Leadership Shake-Up

Crystal Palace have appointed Pierre Sage as their new manager on a three-year deal with an option for an additional year. Sage replaces Oliver Glasner, who announced his departure in January after leading the team to several trophies, including the FA Cup, Community Shield, and UEFA Conference League.

The Frenchman joins Palace from Lens, where he won the Coupe de France and secured a second-place finish in Ligue 1. Sage's managerial record at Lens includes 27 wins, five draws, and eight losses in 40 games.

Sage will take charge of Palace on July 1st, ahead of the club's debut in Europa League football. The 47-year-old has previously managed Chambery and Lyon, with his first stint in management beginning in 2013.

Upon his appointment, Sage expressed his excitement about joining Palace, citing the club's history and recent successes. He vowed to build on Glasner's achievements, saying, "We want to give our best every day for the team, for the club, for the people, and especially for the fans." Sage aims to make the fans proud and bring a winning mentality to the club.
