Jeffries stated that Trump's "reckless war of choice" has significantly impacted American people, particularly with regard to rising gas prices.
During an appearance on "Good Day New York," Jeffries discussed Trump's peace deal with Iran, saying it has led to "skyrocketing gas prices" in an environment where the cost of living is already high. However, co-host Rosanna Scotto pointed out that former Presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden also faced high gas prices during their terms.
Scotto noted that gas prices exceeded $5 per gallon under the Biden administration, with the national average reaching a record high of $5.02 per gallon in June 2022.
