Ueda Shines as Japan Thrash Tunisia to Claim Joint-Top Spot in Group F

Japan made history in their FIFA World Cup match against Tunisia, securing a 4-0 victory at Estadio Monterrey. This marked the first time Japan has scored four goals in a World Cup game.

The match began with a strong start from Japan, as a sweeping move in the fourth minute led to the opening goal. Daichi Kamada capitalized on Tunisia's failure to clear Keito Nakamura's low cross, scoring through a crowd of players.

Tunisia's keeper, Aymen Dahmen, made several crucial saves, including clawing Ayase Ueda's shot off the line. However, Ueda eventually scored in the 31st minute, securing Japan's second goal with a shot from the edge of the area.

Japan continued to dominate the match, with Ao Tanaka's long-range effort at the start of the second half setting the tone. Hannibal Mejbri came close to scoring for Tunisia, but it was not enough to change the course of the game.

Junya Ito scored Japan's third goal with just over 20 minutes left to play, outmuscling Mohamed Amine Ben Hmida and sliding the ball under Dahmen. Ueda then scored his second goal with a looping header, becoming the first Japanese player to score twice in a single World Cup match.

The result marks Tunisia's exit from the tournament, extending their poor record to just one win in nine matches. Japan, on the other hand, has now won six of the previous seven head-to-heads and can guarantee automatic qualification for the Round of 32 with at least a point in their final group game against Sweden.
