Arsenal's Bruno Guimaraes Bid Gets the Expected Treatment Immediately

Arsenal's approach for Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimarães has been rejected, according to reports. The Gunners had discussed a fee of around £55 million ($73 million) for the Brazil international, but Newcastle are unwilling to sell for such a low price.

Guimarães, who has two years remaining on his contract, has been a key player for Newcastle, scoring nine goals and providing seven assists from midfield last season. His versatility and ability to operate as a traditional No. 6 or in a box-to-box role make him an attractive target for Arsenal.

Newcastle are keen to hold on to their star midfielder, particularly after losing Anthony Gordon to Barcelona and with Sandro Tonali linked with exits. The Magpies are preparing for a summer of transition after failing to qualify for Europe next season.

Arsenal may attempt to restart negotiations, but a much improved offer will be required to convince Newcastle to consider Guimarães' departure. The 28-year-old's leadership, experience, and technical quality make him an excellent addition to any team, and Newcastle are unlikely to let him go without a significant bid.
