Roland Garros Champions Alexander Zverev and Anastasia Andreeva Bring Unchanged Momentum to Wimbledon

French Open champions Alexander Zverev and Mirra Andreeva have arrived at Wimbledon, grappling with an unexpected dilemma - the lack of a significant change in their lives after achieving their Grand Slam ambitions.

Zverev, 29, secured his first major title with a tense five-set victory over Flavio Cobolli at Roland Garros earlier in June, finally shedding his reputation as the most talented player never to win a Grand Slam. Despite this long-awaited triumph, Zverev's life has remained relatively unchanged, a fact he finds puzzling.

"I think people always think that once you win a Grand Slam, your life changes in a way. I kind of figured out it really doesn't," Zverev said, citing his continued enjoyment of activities such as golf and spending time with his daughter.

Andreeva, 19, who won her maiden Grand Slam title just a day before Zverev, shares a similar sentiment. The Russian teenager, who became the youngest woman to win Roland Garros since Monica Seles in 1992, expressed that her life remains "unchanged and comfortably mundane" despite her achievement.

Andreeva is, however, motivated to experience the thrill of winning again, describing it as an "addiction" that drives her to push for another title at Wimbledon. In contrast, Zverev is less convinced that his Paris victory will propel him to success at Wimbledon, a tournament where he has historically struggled. Nevertheless, he remains determined to perform well, stating, "I do feel like I play good tennis at the moment. I'm going to do everything I can to show that."
