Ronaldinho Comes Out of Retirement to Sign for Italian Side Ravenna at the Age of 46 in Stunning Move

Ronaldinho, a former Brazil international and star of the 2002 World Cup, has come out of retirement to join Italian Serie C outfit Ravenna. The 46-year-old, who announced his retirement in 2018, will not only play a role on the pitch but also become a shareholder and brand ambassador for the club.

The Brazilian legend expressed his excitement about the new chapter in his career, stating that he "can hardly wait to dance with the ball again" and bring joy to Ravenna. Ravenna's honorary vice-president Ariedo Braida hailed the signing as "extraordinary," describing Ronaldinho as a "champion without age."

Although Ronaldinho's return to competitive football after 11 years may seem unlikely, reports suggest he will be used to promote the club and participate in exhibition games rather than feature in Serie C matches. Braida, who has a long-standing friendship with Ronaldinho, was instrumental in bringing the former Barcelona and PSG icon to the club, which is owned by entrepreneur Ignazio Cipriani.

Ronaldinho's involvement with Ravenna is expected to raise the club's profile, with fans eager to see the two-time Ballon d'Or winner in action once again. However, for now, it appears that his role will be more focused on promoting the club rather than playing in competitive matches.
