Brighton Launch Bid for Tottenham Wonderkid Luka Vuskovic, the 2nd Most Valuable U21 Centre-Back in the World

Brighton & Hove Albion have made an initial €34.8 million offer to sign Luka Vuskovic from Tottenham Hotspur. The 19-year-old centre-back, currently at the World Cup with Croatia, is highly sought after following an impressive loan spell at Hamburg last season. Vuskovic scored six goals in 28 Bundesliga appearances, helping Hamburg avoid relegation.

The young defender's market value has skyrocketed from €12m to €60m during his season in Germany, with only nine players experiencing a bigger increase in market value last season. Vuskovic is now the joint-second most valuable U21 centre-back in the world, level with Dean Huijsen, but ranked higher due to his younger age.

Tottenham are expected to play a key role for Vuskovic next season, but the player is reportedly keen on a move to Brighton, where he would be guaranteed first-team football. Brighton's offer falls short of Vuskovic's current market value by over €25m, making it unlikely that Tottenham will sanction a sale at this price.
