Jadon Sancho set to depart Manchester United, with four top clubs lining up to sign the England star on a free transfer this summer

Manchester United has confirmed that winger Jadon Sancho will leave the club as a free agent when his contract expires at the end of the month. The Englishman joined the Red Devils from Borussia Dortmund in 2021 for €85 million but has not played for the team since the Community Shield in August 2024.

Sancho's departure was announced alongside those of full-back Tyrell Malacia and midfielder Casemiro. Despite his struggles at Manchester United, Sancho can still be a valuable asset to many European clubs at his best.

Several clubs are potential destinations for the 26-year-old, including his former team Borussia Dortmund, where he scored 53 goals and provided 67 assists in 158 games. Dortmund reportedly expressed interest in re-signing Sancho in March, but his wage demands could be a hurdle.

Aston Villa, where Sancho spent last season on loan, may also be interested in bringing him back on a free transfer. The Midlands club's manager, Unai Emery, has worked with Sancho before and may have ideas to help him regain his form.

Other potential suitors include Turkish Süper Lig giants Fenerbahce and Italian club Napoli. Fenerbahce has been linked with Sancho this year, and the Turkish league is keen to attract more high-profile players. Napoli, meanwhile, has a track record of reviving the careers of former Manchester United players, including Scott McTominay and Rasmus Højlund.
