Pat Sajak Shares Rare Life Update After His Retirement From Hosting Wheel of Fortune
Pat Sajak has shared a rare update on his life in a video message. The 79-year-old former "Wheel of Fortune" host said he is enjoying life after moving to Montana. In the video, Sajak stands in front of a swimming pool and jokes about attending to his cattle, complete with a "moo" sound effect.
The update comes over a year after Sajak stepped down from "Wheel of Fortune" following a four-decade run. His final episode aired in June 2024, and he was succeeded by Ryan Seacrest in September. Sajak remained involved with the franchise through "Celebrity Wheel of Fortune" until its final episode in June 2025.
Sajak hosted "Wheel of Fortune" alongside Vanna White since its syndication debut in 1983. Away from television, he serves as chairman of the Board of Trustees for Hillsdale College, a private liberal arts college in Michigan, a position he has held since 2019. Prior to that, he was vice chairman of the board from 2003 to 2019.
