Jannik Sinner Shrugs Off Roland Garros Heat Woes, Feeling Fine Ahead of Wimbledon

World number one Jannik Sinner is feeling better ahead of Wimbledon, following his early exit at the French Open. The Italian top seed was knocked out in the second round at Roland Garros by Juan Manuel Cerundolo, after building a two-set lead before succumbing to cramps in a Paris heatwave.

Sinner has been working on a plan to cope with extreme heat, saying "all tests were really good" and that he is practicing in hotter conditions. He acknowledged that heat is a growing concern in tennis, stating "every year it's getting warmer and warmer."

The 24-year-old, who has won four Grand Slam titles, expressed satisfaction with his preparation and is looking to reset ahead of the grasscourt major. Sinner will begin his bid for a second straight Wimbledon crown against Serbia's Miomir Kecmanovic on Monday.

In a press conference lasting just over 10 minutes, Sinner addressed reports of players planning to limit post-match media appearances to 15 minutes in the first week of the tournament, in a bid to highlight the allocation of Wimbledon revenues to prize money. Instead, he focused on his own preparation, saying "we did some changes" since the French Open and that he is "very happy with the work we did" in the last 2-1/2 weeks.
